Hey tigger, thank you! That makes me happy! I was hoping very much it would have a fantasy and sci-fi feel, and I’m so glad you like it. :)

I know how you feel about submitting. Writing is so personal. I know it makes me feel “hurt” to some extent when I don’t see hearts on my things. That said, I truly don’t want people to heart my stuff just because they don’t want to hurt my feelings, which I think can naturally happen on a social media platform like Medium. I understand everyone has his/her own tastes. I think most writers inherently understand this.

Anyhow, I encourage you to submit what you feel moved to submit, and to not worry too much about the possible rejection. I’m hoping Otherworlds is a place where people will feel free to put their stuff out there and get it seen. I mean, if it’s not seen it can’t be disliked, but it can’t be liked either. I hope Otherworlds encourages fantasy and sci-fi folks to simply write and engage, and gain confidence in doing both.
