I read historical nonfiction, postmodern literature, the 'classics' of the traditional canon…

Hi tigger, your comment is like the perfect kind of piece I’m thinking would fit on a fantasy-sci-fi community-focused publication!

I appreciate how you talk about being pointed to a next great love. I am seeking that, even though I don’t have the time to read books as much as I’d like. Many of the names you list are those I view with great fondness, and it sparks a desire to revisit them.

A confession: I am not trained in “literary arts” unless you count a few good high school English teachers. My college background is engineering. I just want to mention that because often I don’t feel very knowledgeable/educated when it comes to “literature,” and that’s why I tend to be shy attempting to discuss it. Apart from people like Tolkien and C.S. Lewis my tastes tend more toward stuff from the ’80s, or written similarly, which may be why I seem to have such a hard time finding books I want to read today. I’m probably not looking in the right places. A Medium community would help with that!

I’m going to guess you wouldn’t mind being a part of a possible publication?

Regardless, thanks again for your wonderful little piece. :)
