Bad monetary policy >> bitcoin adoption
I think that we’re likely to see much more enduring cryptocurrency adoption in countries where governments are known for very poor monetary policy. Argentina, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe come to mind as prime examples. Even the changing Bitcoin market provides a much more reliable store of value than fiat in those countries.
Where monetary policy is more stable, I don’t imagine as widespread adoption. India has had ups and downs with its cash economy, so that could be a catalyst. Great read!
