Agree completely with your sentiment. Real estate investors have a good way of gauging partner involvement, and seem to get along well with passive investors. One great question to ask is “What level of involvement and regular communication would you like?”

You’ll get a wide array, anywhere from “I’ll be at your office every Monday.” to “Quarterly updates should be fine.”

Even if it’s worth less money, that second type of investor is more likely to let the professionals be professionals.
