I think it’s important for developers to recognize that many tools are created effectively as a shim for a future feature coming down the pipeline.
For instance, I’ve used functional libraries like Lodash for years to augment holes in native JS that are more commonly provided in Ruby, for instance. With ES6–7, some of those holes are being plugged. Given that, it’s time to switch my thinking back to the native standards. I see the same thing going on with Yarn & npm.
