Here at TGM Environmental, recycling is our topmost priority as it allows us to help more than 1000 businesses, to ethically recycle different kinds of recyclable waste. Back in the 1880’s, recycling has been slowly introduced in our society. And then, our environmental group followed pursuit, and we have been recycling for over 100 years now.

Recycling Cardboard

It is surprising how many cardboards a household can produce in one year. With online shopping becoming a common thing to do, almost everything can be delivered in pouches or in boxes. Some school projects may help us reduce these boxes and use them for good. Oftentimes, it’s just stuck somewhere in the house waiting to be noticed. We can come up with a lot of creative ways to reuse these cardboards, but when enough is enough, recycling them is a beneficial idea.

When you flatten these cardboards and send them to a recycling center, you are already one step ahead from those who just let their reusable stuff end up in a landfill. One way to recycle a cardboard, is to use it as cardboard cores in a roofing plant. And sometimes, it can be remade into yet another cardboard, a flower pot or a textile tubing.

Recycling Plastic Film

Unlike cardboard, plastic films are a different story. Sometimes, it is hard to come up with creative ways to reuse them. But before we proceed there, we must know that there are many types of plastic films. Each plastic has its own characteristic from flexibility to strength.

Polypropylene Film: Usually used for food packaging due to its high moisture barrier. (PE)

Polyethylene Film: famously used as a bubble wrap and for food packaging as well. (PP)

Polyethylene Terephthalate Film: Commonly used to produce photographic films or metalized film that are safe for microwave use. Most bottled water companies are also moving on to this kind of packaging. More and more food companies produce this kind of plastic too, due to its shatter-resistant capacities. (PET)

Sorting these films will help a lot of house owners determine what can be sold to a recycling company, and what ends up in a garbage truck. Communicating with a person from the recycling industry, who has an in-depth knowledge about sorting plastic films, could be a good start.

Advantages of Recycling with Us

Most countries in the world consider overflowing garbage in a landfill as a huge problem. In a year, around 250 million tons of solid waste can already cause damage in the environment. This problem comes with few solutions as well. Good thing recycling is one of those guaranteed solutions, and it’s just a matter of helping each other out.

We are proud to say that we can currently deliver fully integrated recycling and waste management solutions, to businesses located around the South East England. We have access to the recycling markets in the globe to ensure that these recycled products can be of better use.

We also cover paper recycling, secure shredding and other recyclables.
