Why I left the best job in the world
Preethi Kasireddy

“Programming lets you be a creator, and it’s an art as much as it’s a science.” Beautifully put.

I’m a Hack Reactor alum and this story resonated deeply and inspired me. Almost exactly one year ago I left my job as an accountant to pursue code full time. It was the most exhilarating and fulfilling thing I have ever done and I didn’t look back once.

The hardest part was not learning to code, it was keeping my spirit tall and confident while facing a huge amount of rejection after bootcamp ended. But just like you said, it only takes that one person who will give you a chance and BOOM. I’ve been working professionally at a small startup for 4 months now and still can’t believe I get payed to do what I love most.

You’re going to be incredible because you have the right attitude for it. Best of luck to you and keep on sharing your experiences!!!
