QUESTION TIME: Trans Pacific Partnership
Where do you stand on the TPP Trade Agreement
I studied economics in college, but the reality is that free markets and largely free trade best support higher living standards. But, we have to make sure that trade is fair for workers and businesses in Eastern NC.

My vote on TPP will be decided by what is best for the people of the Third Congressional District. Point of origin rules for yarns and seafood inspection standards, for example, are important factors for ENC jobs. How the final deal handles these issues will be important.
I am not reflexively anti-free trade, as Rep. Jones opponent is. As Congressman I believe you must weigh what is best for your district and vote accordingly.
