That is exactly what I’m saying. I wasn’t sure how clearly I got that point across. I’ve been pondering writing about Russian information warfare strategy in greater depth.

There’s certainly something unusual going on in the body politic, a subtle undertow tugging people away from trust in institutions, in media, and in objective truth.

But, figuring out what if any role Russian active measures might play in all this as opposed to more prosaic factors is difficult. It is a hard subject to talk about without sounding paranoid. Maybe it’s because we should be.
