Spencer’s absolutely right. They’re going to pay almost $24 million for a guy they don’t think is that good? If they didn’t want to pay Cousins a bunch of money, they should have signed Glennon or drafted QB high in the draft (or negotiated a new contract 2 years ago). Instead they just keep paying him more every year while kind of hoping he plays poorly. That pretty much seems like the definition of a terrible strategy.
