100 Days of Game Development
Hi there, about a month ago I started out on the challenge 100 days of Game Development and I came up with a story, concept sketches and script interfaces and since than I’ve made updates up to the 8th so this is my first update in a space of a month since the last 8th Day Update, I’m not a character artist so I made a simple character model for ease and clarity. Over the time spent between the Updates I worked on other projects that needed urgent attention so here goes the Updates for the few days i’ve worked on this project.

On Day 9, i worked on the character
Concept sketch and then the model in blender, I went further to setting up materials for the body, clothe, helmet, shoes etc.

On Day 10 i worked on the head of the Character, I made sure to take a minimalist approach to the model with very little detail and trying to keep the model as low poly as much as possible.

Day 11 had me working on Animations and getting this model into Unity, it was frustrating as this sucked up over 2hours of my time rigging and trying to animate right in blender. Nothing was achieved on Day 11,
Day 12 I decided to use Mixamo, an adobe cloud based program that rigs and animates 3d characters and finally my heaven was here, I’m not a character modeler and I know little about animations, I would have just grabbed some random models online to use but I wanted to know what it means creating these models for the reason of having a challenging experience. Mixamo was the salvation, I spent quite a lot of time on mixamo, trying to get animations for the Character and finally it worked out. Below is the link to the video of the character in Unity3d, Thanks for stopping by and Cheers.
