All Hallows’ Eve

We cloak our scare in sacrality

And madness in our mirth.

To fathom a serpent’s speech as crafty

But to deny its influence on earth.

Have you perceived our forebears foolish,

Did they not record what was seen?

Is it not scribed in our great books?

Witchcraft, sorcery, and fiend.

Possibly an exaggerate fallacy.

Devoid winded howles crept in monotone.

The true fear of All Hallows’ Eve

Derives from what is unknown.
