Hey Jesse, that's a great point. I chose not to use a specific school of thought or theory in onder to make it more approachable and, in certain ways, even more debatable. I have no claim in creating the final statement in this subject. Rather, I wanted to express my point of view in this matter, even a flawed one, to start a dialog. I don't think this point is ~true~ but I also don't think it is ~wrong~, it is an outlook, just like in physics we can use string theory and wave theory for the same phenomena to draw different perspectives. It is a preposition of a modus operandi.
Perhaps calling games art is indeed going to lead them to further development than not calling them so. I disagree with that, but we can't exactly prove one way or another for now, can we? Just like in art, we have to wait and see. And maybe, just like with Van Gogh, the answer may appear just after we are both dead.
