This may burden the responsibility of a casting agency but still they are ready to show their concern towards health. Most of the models have failed in maintaining their health. To bring the situation under control, few well – known models has campaigned against the ill – effects of eating disorders. The campaign stated the young women as ‘You are not a sketch. Say no to anorexia’. Actually this campaign has focused on young girls who voluntarily fall into the deadly anorexia disorder. Successful intervention by the casting agents:

In humans, the brain accounts for 20 percent of an individual’s energy expenditure and plays a key role in nutritional homeostasis. The brain will shrink in anorexia nervosa and there is uncertainty as to whether it is fully responsible or not. Poor appetite will reduce the amount of leptin and it leads to fall in body weight. Without adequate levels of leptin the cascade of hormonal events that controls ovulation and implantation will get disrupted. The body’s response to starvation includes adjustment of metabolic and physiological processes. In addition to the health issues, models are also facing various social issues. A good casting agency should consider all these factors and should help them with the best remedy. The self – esteem related to the health issues takes the models to a domain with full of health risks. Hence the casting agencies have brought their full effort in covering both the physical and mental health. The success of a model in casting thus lies in the commitment of the casting agency.
