No, this issue has nothing to do with gender or diversity – so let’s call it what it really is – the VC system has been designed as a ‘scarcity’ rather than ‘abundance’ mentality. “For me to have more, you must have less”.
Teams succeed because they train, prepare, act, collaborate, participate & celebrate together, as a team.
If I’m truly a team player, I create value for the team; the rest of the team creates value with me, and we share in the upsides of success together.
And if my team mates are truly that, we each know our roles, and play them to the best of our abilities-as a team. The goalkeeper doesn’t try to score goals, nor does the full back. The left winger doesn’t just decide to play on the right wing. The the striker (full forward) doesn’t stand around in the goal square because he feels like a change of scenery.
So let’s not make a gender issue out of something that is actually something else.
