Office Chronicles #1

If you are an employee then you probably know how it’s pretty much impossible to have a life outside office. You spend most part of your life here and believe it or not, most of your life experiences would be here.

My office is cool, or so I think. I joined office with my philosophy very clear — I am going to stay exactly the way I am.

Let me give a brief summary about myself:

I breathe and I offend people.

Office is like a zoo. There are various animals from different jungles trying to coexist. There’s power struggle. Everyone wants a bigger portion of food(salary) and a bigger cage(cabin). Few animals are smart enough to butter the zoo keeper for extra brownie points. If you are observant enough, you will know exactly who’s pulling the stings and who’s being pulled.

I witnessed an interesting conversation a few days ago where the senior manager and junior manager were having a sort of power struggle.
The SM is super strict about timings. One person you will find in office at 8 bloody 30, every morning. On the other hand is the JM, who hasn’t set foot in the office before 10AM. EVER.

JM — “I come to office on my own time.”
SM — “Ma team, ma rules.” (I kid you not, those were his actual words)
JM (smirking) — “We’ll see.”

Here’s me rooting for the JM. Now I am just counting days till I can bid adieu to my 7AM alarm clock.
It wasn’t nice to meet you and I hope I never see you again.

Just a tiny glimpse of my life. Here’s to hoping I write more tidbits.

Till then

Tada
