As I approach West Point, the air thickens with a sense of reverence, as if the very atmosphere recognizes the significance of this place. The landscape unfurls before me, a breathtaking panorama of the Hudson Valley, painting a backdrop of natural beauty that accentuates the magnificence of the United States Military Academy. But it is not just the grandeur of West Point that moves me; it is the profound connection I feel as I return to this revered institution after 25 long years. The memories flood back, mingling with a newfound appreciation for the journey that has led me back to these hallowed grounds.

The citadel rises before me, an embodiment of knowledge, discipline, and honor. Its gray stone buildings, stoic and unyielding, tower over the campus, standing as a testament to the generations of cadets who have passed through their doors. Each structure carries the weight of history, etched into every stone, a living testament to the indelible mark these cadets have left on the world. As I venture deeper into the heart…
