Week 9 Power Rankings: (Current Record) (Trending) (Chance to Make Playoffs)

Tier 1:

  1. T “Mr. T”: (7–1) (Trending Up) (95% )
Can’t Touch This! This man continues to dominate this season with a 4-game winning streak. With Austin Ekeler back they look unbeatable, and just may have the strongest RB room in the league with Etienne and White. It was a very happy Filipino Heritage Month for our number 1 guy after winning the final rivalry week of the year and finishing 2–0 v. The Network for the season.
    - Next Up: “Sniper”
    (H2H Record: 2–1)
    - Previous Game: W 115.70–92.68 v. A “The Network”

2. K “B2B Champ”: (6–2) (Trending Up) (87%)
This is truly looking like a dynasty run unseen in the GFL with a 4-Game winning streak of their own. After losing Justin Jefferson, they’ve managed to keep the good times rolling with their rookies continuing to shine and Alvin Kamara’s return. It’s no coincidence number 2 is led by an amazing trio of running backs as well. They finish their rivalry match-up splitting 1–1 with “The Giraffe”. Will they continue to ride the rookies to the finish line? Only time will tell on their quest for a 3-Peat.
- Next up: “The Network” (H2H Record: 2–2)
- Previous Game: W 110.90–71.88 v. “Giraffe”

Tier 2:

3. M “Papi”: (5–3) (Trending =) (67%)
A Monday Night loss definitely stings for everyone’s favorite pick pocketer, but it was a strong effort even in defeat. They put forth their best line-up suffering a 4 point defeat. They’re in a good place, but any loss at this point is crucial as so many teams are within 2 games of each other. With one of the stronger WR rooms in the league, they’ll have to find play their cards right with the rest of their line-up to keep up their pace. A 1–1 split with “Heartbroken” may come back to haunt them as their next match-up is someone whom they’ve struggled to defeat in the past.
- Next up: v. “The Bear” (H2H Record: 2–8)
- Previous Game: L 109.28–113.56 v “Heartbroken”

4. H “DJ Hieu” “The Diesel”: (5–3) (Trending Up) (59%)
The Commish and his opponent were talking it up all week and the match-up definitely disappointed. With a quick start (30 Points on TNF) to their week “The Diesel” never looked back en route to another victory over their rival. 2–0 record against “The Mouth” is huge in the standings now and CMC has shined all season long for their team. Will the rest of their team step up? As one team called it, “Mccafrey merchant f*ck outta here. You one player away from poverty.” We’ll find out how true that is this week as CMC is on bye.
- Next up: “Rocketfan2503” (H2H Record: 11–7)
- Previous Game: W 108.16–79.72 v. “The Mouth”

5. S “SNIP3R”: (5–3) (Trending =) (56%)
Perhap It was a rough October for SNIP3R, but they managed to finish it out with another W with a little luck from the flu. As predicted, this team will go as far as the dynamic duo of Tua-Tyreek take them, but can they carry them with all the injuries too? Stay the course SNIP3R, Montgomery and Deebo will soon be back and hopefully right the ship. (And by ship we don’t mean the Bucs DEF) 2–0 against their rival has definitely helped their cause this season as they’re 3–3 against the rest of the league. Can they give Number 1 their second loss of the season?
- Next up: “Mr. T”
(H2H Record: 1–0)
- Previous Game: W 105.56–94.70 v. “Smooth Brain”

6. J “Rocketfan2503” (4–4) (Trending Up) (43%)
Biased perhaps? Maybe in need of a shake-up from the actual standings? Probably a little of everything, but we get to write it and get the final say. A dominating win over their Aggie Rival moves them up in the rankings. Out of respect, they ordered their TE to stop scoring so the most points ever will stay with their opponent. A classy move to leave the standard record going. A 1–1 Split with “Denmark” keeps things tight. After starting October with two heartbreaks, they finish with 2 wins. (Fun Fact: They would have to same record with or without their “controversial” trade)
- Next Up: “DJ Hieu” (H2H Record: 7–11)
- Previous Game: W 160.06–113.36 v. “Denmark”

7. S “The Bear”: (4–4) (Trending Up) (42%)
It took everything they had to beat their childhood friend, but they did it. After more trades and finally moving Bijan Robinson “The Bear”’s team looks solidifed for a playoff push. Two wins in a row and Joe Brrrrr looking like himself makes them a sneaky underdog for the playoffs and dare we say championship? 2–0 against “UTEP” on the season does question the validity of their team as a 2–4 record vs everyone else is nothing to gloat about. Can they continue their dominance and make “Papi” call them Daddy?
- Next Up: “Papi” (H2H Record: 8–2)
- Previous Game: W 117.52–110.86 v. “UTEP”

8. A “The Network” (4–4) (Trending down) (41%)
While they are 6 in the standings based off points, they land at 8 here on the Power Rankings for a few reasons. The major reason is losing twice to their rival “Mr. T” after all their insults and clowning their line-up or lack thereof. The Network was looking hot, but losing 2 of their last 3 has them back in the middle on the pack. They were fortunate to face a 50 point week for another W during October. It’s clear that QB Lamar is their engine and they will go as far as he leads them. They have a tough one coming up in what could end up being a must-win or fall out the playoff picture for the first time since Week 1.
- Next Up: “B2B Champ” (H2H Record: 2–2)
- Previous Game: L 92.68–115.70 v. “Mr. T”

9. J “Denmark” (3–5) (Trending Down) (34%)
If you’re reading this, we hope you’re doing better than Denmark. A 4 game losing streak has them stumbling to the bottom of the standings. However, we keep them above the others because they have the most points scored against and have had two huge weeks against them in a row. Losing Chubb still haunts them, and Achane going down has their RB room looking very thin and weak. Can they continue to push through or will they freefall into the abyss? This week would be a great chance for a win if they didn’t have so many byes.
- Next Up: “UTEP” (H2H Record: 10–5)
- Previous Game: L 113.36–160.06 v. “Rocketfan2503”

10. P “Heartbroken” (3–5) (Trending Up) (33%)
They managed to exercise their Monday Night Demons with a huge upset win over “Papi”. Another trade left them with more questions than answers, but winning 2 of their last 3 is a great start to making a run. They’ll need some good fortune and help from other teams. The Browns are doing everything they can to carry their team. Don’t give up just yet as they’ll face off against a struggling opponent.
- Next Up: “Giraffe” (H2H Record: 6–4)
- Previous Game: W 113.56–109.28 v. “Papi”

11. C “The Mouth” (3–5) (Trending Down) (30%)
After reaching .500, The Mouth has suffered 2 defeats in a row to really damper their playoff hopes. We’d be foolish to count them out though as one door closes, they’ll be sure to force open another. 2 Losses to “DJ Hieu” is the difference in their season. It was a tough week and injuries made it worse as they lost the inconsistent Darren Waller. They’re going to need to become Rams fans at this rate with Cooper Kupp and Henderson playing a pivotal role in their line-up. They’re in desperate need of a win this week, if not, it may be time to write them off.
- Next Up: “Smooth Brain” (H2H Record: 1–0)
- Previous Game: L 79.72–108.16 v. “The Diesel”

Tier 3:

12. K ”UTEP” (2–6) (25%)
UTEP is looking as good as ever with 3 straight impressive weeks. They may have lost their last game, but it was a great showing and they continue to pull off some impressive starts. The only question left is, is it too little too late? Their QB woes continue to be the difference, and an 0–2 record to their fellow Armadillo really hurts their chances this year. Their season will go as Kelce goes so they need to do whatever it takes to get Taylor Swift in the building. Will they hand “Denmark” their 5th loss in a row and continue to fight? It’ll definitely be a challenge without shining rookie Gibbs.
- Next up: “Denmark” (H2H Record: 5–10)
- Previous Game: L 110.86–117.52 v. “The Bear”

13. D “The Giraffe” (4–4) (Trending Down) (24%)
I know, a .500 record this low?! Well after two poor showings in a row, 3 of the last 4, and their star RB playing so poorly it’s hard to put them any higher. Where do we start with our favorite Peru boy? Let’s try to find some positives instead; Hopkins may be rejuvenated with a rookie QB and perhaps Kyler Murray can be relevant in fantasy. Their hot start definitely helps their playoff chances, but they need to figure it out quickly as others have caught up. For that reason, they earn The Towel this week. This is easily the match-up of the week against “Heartbroken”.
- Next up: “Heartbroken” (H2H Record: 4–6)
- Previous Game: L 71.88–110.90 v. “B2B Champ”

The Infamous Towel

14. D “Smooth Brain” (1–7) (Trending Down) (10%)
A 5-Game losing streak will earn you the bottom spot of the league. While it may look bad, it isn’t nearly as bad as it seems. They’ve been competitive for most of the season and suffered a few heartbreaks of their own including this last week. Mahomes going from a 35 point showing to the Flu and his lowest output in years is a tough pill to swallow. With the 2nd most points scored against, there isn’t much else to say about our guy. Continue the fight, and spoil people’s seasons starting with “The Mouth” is our prescription for the Pain.

Next up: “The Mouth” (H2H Record: 0–1)
- Previous Game: L 94.70–105.56 v. “SNIP3R”
