A Focus Issue
Mexico is a huge, diverse, and colorful country. The nation boasts 69 national languages, of which only one is Spanish; the rest are indigenous languages. We are around 125 million people living in the national territory, of whom 866 thousand are indigenous people who do not speak Spanish. In addition to this, in 2020 alone, we received around 800 thousand Americans and 10,000 people from countries like Canada, France, and China (per country) who decided to come and live in Mexico…
It is ironic to think that, despite the wide variety of languages that exist in our country, we decide to inform only in Spanish. Perhaps you think… well, these figures represent less than 1% of the total population of Mexico… But, the Mexican constitution, in its article 6, establishes access to information as a right.
In those cases… Who informs these people? While this group is a minority that represents less than 1% of the population in Mexico and journalism is one of the worst-paid professions in our country, it is true that advertising money (which is the main source of income for these media) in Mexico is high; in 2022 alone, $127 billion pesos were invested in advertising.
The proposal then is… How can we take advantage of this niche that large companies like Televisa or Televisión Azteca are not covering?
Xook-AI: Create, Edit, and Share.
The idea of Xook-AI: Xook comes from Maya, and means narration; and AI involves using new technologies to be able to narrate. Our vision is to be able to provide a tool capable of creating news in any language within the national territory.
Xook-AI is an innovative artificial intelligence platform designed to transform the way news is created. Our promise: You will go from working 5 hours to 5 minutes. This comprehensive tool consists of a web application that simplifies the news production process for journalists, allowing content editing and organization, as well as automated script and multimedia generation.
Its robust API ensures a smooth interaction between the application and cloud services, facilitating data management and system operation. Additionally, its Wordpress connector seamlessly integrates generated news into web pages, promoting efficient dissemination. Finally, its WhatsApp bot enriches the end user experience with automated interactions and constant news updates, marking a milestone in the distribution of informative content.
Competitive advantage of the project:
It has been tested previously, managing to convert 5 hours of work into one of 5 minutes, both for creating multimedia content for social networks and creating scripts for television programs, audios for radio, and exporting content in English and Spanish with a couple of clicks.
It allows delegating responsibility on multiple fronts, both from the journalistic area that lives the day-to-day events in the city, and from the editors who receive first-hand news content in real time. The perfect integration with RSS methods allows editors to choose and control which international news they can incorporate.
The automation system also provides the power to share content directly from the app with its social media integrations, such as WhatsApp, to be able to send news to users on their phones, as well as allowing them to create reports of events in the city.
It integrates with video avatars, which tell the news, it can be created as realistic as the client wants, both using photo avatars, and studio avatars, allowing the integration of varied voices and characters, in the languages they prefer.

Plans and the Near Future
Our goal is to achieve by 2028 the creation of the first language model in an indigenous language, capable of translating, converting, creating, correcting, and communicating news to the indigenous population, and this is within reach of all those who have a license with us.
Similarly, natively support other languages of people who, by necessity or taste, come to work in Mexico, such as French and Chinese; without limiting ourselves to languages.
Conclusion
Xook-AI opens the door for more people to compete head-to-head with large companies in the sector, allowing them to cover a large part of the staff of a news agency at a lower price and allowing them to have more time that they can dedicate to their family, or to their profession.
We hope that this tool reaches the hands of those who wish to cover a need that is not being covered and, above all, in the near future, include a segment of the population that was previously excluded, such as the indigenous population in our country.
