Thank you for writing this. You could not have said it better. Everything now is about fixing and making new memories to replace the old ones. I am beyond anger now. And whenever I visit my parents now, I struggle to make the link between the peaceful retired man in his sleepers and the man who fell, the man I used to resent so much growing up. These stories are all an account of the past. But they are a way of healing and returning to them helps.
