Picky eaters. Yes, they walk among us, either as friends or foes, but there is just no doubt they exist. In fact, you may well be one yourself; to which I say: just try the damn dish Susie! I’m joking, of course… or am I?

As a person who would literally devour anything even remotely offered to me, I cannot relate to the struggles of this habitual behavior, but as a parent turned personal nutritionist of a fussy toddler, I unfortunately can attest to the never ending struggles of every dreaded mealtime. Supper time or suffer time — I have personally been rendered useless in differentiating the two by now.

But alas, I have adapted and the battle continues, but my wooden sword has forged into a thing of iron. So here are the five tips of which you can utilize to escape the maze of feeding your very own picky-eater. Yay?!

1. Start ’em off young!

This one is a MAJOR piece of advice that I often regret not having executed earlier when my toddler had just begun consuming solid foods. It’s true what they say — prevention is truly the best medicine.
