Finally: Immigration Bureau to replace TM30, TM6, TM47 forms with new TM83 super-form
Responding to frequent complaints from long term expat residents of the amount of red tape required to maintain their residence in the Kingdom, Immigration Bureau chief Pol Lt Gen Sompong Chingduang has announced a new super-form will replace the existing TM6 form (arrival card), TM30 form (registration of address) and TM47 form (90 day reporting).
The new TM83 form, which gets its name from adding together forms 6, 30 and 47, is designed to further the Immigration Bureaus stated policy of “Good guys in, bad guys out”. The new form simply requires aliens on any type of long term visa to declare if they are a “good guy” or a “bad guy”. Immigration Bureau officials are expected to perform extra checks on those declaring themselves as “bad guys”.
The new form is expected to be rolled out soon subject to Cabinet approval.
