Are you getting paid by the TDD and Unit Testing lobbies? :) I mean that in jest, I hope people can take a joke. You are merely proving my point. It’s a cult, and big cult at that. Many religions are cultish as well. Last time I checked there were 8 million people worldwide that prescribe to Scientology. Popularity does not mean something is not a cult. TDD and Unit Testing are pushed by corporate management so that they have something to measure to track project progress. It’s a management cult. Do programmers use TDD when they write OSS? I doubt it :) I not only doubt it. I KNOW it not to be true. All those SO questions are the results of people being forced to use TDD by their managers at work. Free the developer. Free the people.
