Hi Rohit! In this article, Istanbul is the primary tool used to capture test coverage and this works only with front-end and backend JS, it won’t work with Java. You can get test coverage of node.js with istanbul cover index.js but I have never heard of unit tests being written in a different language. Maybe you are writing End-to-End tests with Java? If you launch a Node.js child process with TestNg, then you can capture coverage of the Node.js process with Istanbul. Again, I don’t see how you can unit test language X using language Y. But you can definitely do end-to-end tests of language X using language Y. For example, I was considering writing our Selenium End-to-End tests using a language other than Node.js.
