Want to Code? A University Degree Might be a Huge Waste of Time
Eric Elliott

“ Students learn to obsess over performance characteristics of things that don’t make any practical difference to the performance of real apps.” Architecture is so much more important than runtime efficiency in most applications. With server-side JS and single-threadedness, OK, maybe start worrying about your programming patterns, but with front-end JS, please stop worrying about performance and start worrying about maintainability, modularity, and developer experience tooling like hot-reloading etc.
