Oh I totally wish I could say I successfully cold-turkeyed sugar. I tried like the meat (and alcohol), and no dice. Too addictive/addicted I suppose, and cutting everything at once is a personal recipe for disaster, so it’s a gradual tapering off on this one if all goes well.
The only thing that helps is working at home and not having sugary snacks in the house (indulging some when eating out, like the cheese), and making sure I have some healthier dessert items around at home to trick my brain into not feeling all deprived and bitchy. Luckily there’s a lot one can do with nut milks, cocoa, and stevia, or my sweet tooth would win this battle for sure.
