If you haven’t heard of the podcast “The Menu Bar” by Zac Cichy (@zcichy on twitter), you probably should. That said, if you had to start somewhere and happened to be a child of the 90’s/early 2000’s, this one is extra special.

Rob Sheridan (overall artist and social genius behind Nine Inch Nails in the early days and co-founder of “How to destroy Angels” talks discusses a number of things including:

  • How he became a member of NIN
  • The early days of the digital music revolution and how old school record labels got it all wrong (i.e.: Napster, file sharing, etc)
  • Digital music and UX/production

Overall, it’s a fantastic episode and one that you should definitely give your time to, even if you don’t happen to be a fan of NIN in particular. That entire time period was an incredibly important time in history that as time goes on, we’ll continue to look back at one of those pivotal points in our evolution and advancement.
