Watched @sachinthefilm. A go-to document of struggle, sacrifice, humility, and never-failing commitment to Indiaโ€ฆ.

Just watching a 16-year-old getting hit in the nose by a Waqar bouncer, his journey through injuries (leading to, as Harsha Bhogle said, an entire nation becoming an expert in orthopaedics), and that speech one last time at the Wankhede will give you goosebumps.

Glad I didnโ€™t care for some hyper-analytical reviews, which expected controversial remarks!

The film took me back to the magisterial autobiography co-authored by @boriamajumdar.

I found connect with Boriaโ€™s defining comment in the film, linking Indiaโ€™s failing self-confidence, consequent reforms in the economy and the rise of Sachin.

NB: The picture with Sh Tendulkar is from my personal archive. The signed book ๐Ÿ‘‡ is thanks to Boria Majumdar.

The ๐Ÿคณ with Sachin is from my archive.
