Speak not to me, nor my body
Speak through your eyes into my soul
Tell me what’s buried deep inside
Let the fossils unfold
Shy not my love, for I’m here to heal
Heal not yourself, rather my wounded being
As the anecdotes you reveal pass a light through the hole
Setting ablaze a journey untold, unexplored once again
Let the warmth cajole your vulnerability
And comfort you to unbare
I will wait patiently then, embracing you as I would myself
A heart yearns to listen to what you have to say.
