I am wondering what can be said in disagreement that you won’t also find insulting to your point of view. I am going to give it a shot. Please recognize that while we don’t agree, I respect your point of view. If your take away was that Tina Fey authentically wanted “WHITE PEOPLE TO STAY HOME…AND EAT SHEET CAKE” then I can understand why that would feel problematic. Completely. Totally. She has the ability to go and hide her head in the sand with her intact white lady privilege and can go on to have a fine life virtually unaffected by these white supremacists.

But that wasn’t the take away for many other people. I feel like you understand that… and that you still think its totally fucked that she said it… and I can understand that too. And I know that you don’t owe me an ounce of respect for my opinion. Not one fucking ounce. But… and I know you have heard it before…there are a lot of white ladies that want to make change. There are white ladies that did not stay home and eat cake. One white lady even died in the effort to stand opposed. Tina Fey may not have directly said what you feel she needed to say, and I am not here to defend Tina Fey. But white women who recognize their privilege are going to be voting, writing, and marching. And they are going to be saying things in ways that you may not agree with. But they will fight and die to keep Nazi, KKK, racist fucks from getting a hold of the soul of this country. Whether you stand opposed to them or not.
