For me, a paycheck has always been limiting. Sure, security is nice, but if you are not making what you are worth, that same paycheck can make you very resentful. I’ve always known that I could make more money on my own than what any employer was ever going to pay me… that’s why I go for pay for performance or I do my own thing… but perhaps that’s just me.
