Since Netflix and Medium are failures at allowing customers to show how much they value the products they offer, I’m trying to think of businesses that (at least somewhat?) do allow customers to indicate how much they value their offerings.
Maybe eBay is further along in that direction, except for the perverse problem of seller competition driving prices down. Maybe Google AdSense is a good example?
(Come to think of it, I wonder how all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant chains know how to allocate their offerings…)
