The Gravity of Truth
“Cynicism is an unpleasant way of saying the truth.”
Lillian Hellman
Most people don’t enjoy the cynic in a room, because the cynic brings light to things that people do not wish to see.
Truthful as it may be, conditions or parameters for change are always uncomfortable, because it represents something new, it represents something outside of one’s comfort zone.
But I believe that cynics represent the truth in such a manner, because of a lack of something they are dealing with within themselves.
Perspective does not change truth.
Like gravity, truth is fixed and eternal. There can be unpleasant forms of gravity, like when a person decides to jump from a high point to kill themselves, but it can be pleasant in the sense of being the very binding agent of the suns, stars, moons, and beyond.
The truth, like gravity, is always in existence, but it requires clever tools in order to be able to observe the phenomenon.
Just like gravity existed before we had a name for it, so too does the truth exist, even if one is not able to see it, and as gravity requires planets, objects, and other things in motion, truth requires people, circumstances, and choices to be realized.
A cynic, because of their nature of self-interest, will always have their “VERSION” of the truth.
How they choose to live and act on that will determine their fate.
People hate to love the cynic, as the cynic is not afraid to be right.
However, the challenge is when the cynic passes fear onto others, as opposed to good fortune.
