The nepotism nautanki.
the other day I was on Quora surfing through some questions when my eyes fell on one in particular. It went something like this “ what are some things Indians are sad about?” . The said guy answered with the now infamous kangana ranaut-karan johar-varun dhawan-saif ali khan nepotism feud.
After I read it, the first thing I did was ,well, find out the real meaning of nepotism from my oxford( I am kind of old school that way) . I actually found the entire situation hilarious . So, three men who belong to elite families of Bollywood industry ,got offended due to a comment by an actress who is self made in every sense of the term, and avenged it by trolling her in a public event.

I like Kangana Ranaut. she is free of any kind of pretentiousness. and I am a big fan of her ‘ I-don’t-give-a-fuck’ attitude. Her acting abilities is undoubtedly one of the best in the industry and even after being embroiled in so many controversies she has never bowed down to anyone. On the other hand are the 3 members of the film industry who never made or acted in any substantial film. ( I can still consider KJO’s case but i don’t remember seeing a single good film of Varun and Saif. )
Aren’t male egos so very fragile? I wonder if they would have made similar jokes if someone like SRK or Salman said it. ( their fans most probably would have started riots by now. burning effigies and shouting anti KJO slogans ).
So instead of taking the comment sportingly , these privileged men go about making fun of the privileges they are born with. I actually found it funny because instead of trolling Kangana ,like they wanted to , they ended up trolling themselves.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, we have Saif Ali khan writing an open letter on how ‘ talent is passed on genetically’ (he is effing dumb I tell you)as an explanation on why they trolled Kangana. Newsflash Mr. Saif- had that been the case you would have been half as talented as your mother was.(burn bitch).
Okay I will stop my rant here. As for that guy in Quora i have one thing to tell him. Nepotism is not something Indians are sad about .Because ‘PRIVILEDGE BY BIRTH’ is still very much an in thing here. Be it in politics or Bollywood or government offices. People will still side with a Karan johar than a Kangana Ranaut any day.
