The park is open seven days a week from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The park features three reservable picnic areas, horseshoe pits, two playgrounds, and a pretend tractor. There is also a volleyball practice area and a small kids play area. There are also six swings and a full barn structure. The park has no shade. There are also barbecue grills available for use. The park is located next to the Borchard Maintenance Shop and the Borchard Library.

The park is part of a larger development plan from the Conejo Recreation and Park District that plans to add 29,5 acres of land in the Newbury Park neighborhood. This community park was developed by the Borchard Family, who owned a large ranch here for many years. The ranch was sold in 1961. The park was named for the Caspar Borchard family.
