The design is a showcase of the bond between the traditional roots and the modern minimalistic lifestyle of the Clients.

The entry to the Penthouse, via its surreal main door, is an experience in itself. The visual and physical massiveness of the design adds to the grandeur of the place. Repetitive pyramidal massing and subsequent grooving, inspired from traditional temple doors, enhance the sanctity of the space. The doorway leads to an entrance foyer — a double heightened space which adorns an enchanting central Christian base chandelier hung from a recessed wooden false ceiling. A play of tiered wooden strips, with thin traditional carvings wrapped around the foyer, adorns the visual journey one experiences as they look at it through the glass windows of the staircase atrium. The entire design theme of the house — They are one of the few elements in the house that strike the perfect chord between the traditional and the modern.
