This is everything you need to help with autism and travel anxiety (top 3 tips).

I have to travel a lot with my job, making videos, doing key note talks and seminars all over the world I have to travel.

But travelling can be super stressful and triggering for people on the autism spectrum due to an increase in anxiety.

Because of this travel anxiety that occurs I had to create some tips for creating a better travel experience for autist people.

1.Buddy Up

First thing I make sure is that I have a travel buddy, someone to look out for any snags in the journey and a person you can depend and relay on when travelling.

2.Noise Cancelling

I always carry noise cancelling headphones with me so I’m can block out the noise of the hustle and bustle of airports and planes.

3.Planner

Creating a planner before you travel with a list of all the emergency numbers, restaurants and eateries / access to water is an essential part of my journey planning. This eases the unknown when you arrive.

Please let me know if you have anything to add to this conversation by leaving a comment below. I read every single one! Also follow @TheAspieWorld for more autism content.
