Blocknet streamlines decentralized trading with a new Block DX update, enabling automated setup, “order-by-price,” and more.

A new version of Block DX has been released that includes automated setup, the ability to place orders by price, the removal of maker fees, addition of taker fees, and a fee adjustment. The new DX version can be downloaded here. More details on this update can be seen below.

The focus of this release is to improve the user experience of Block DX. Removing previous barriers to entry allows greater adoption of Block DX, permitting easier set up and use for a wider community of traders.

Note: Wallet version 3.10.2 must be used when interacting with Block DX. Service nodes are required to update to this wallet in order to receive trading fees.

Automated Setup

Block DX enables completely decentralized trading by facilitating trades directly from the wallets already installed on your computer. Previously, there were manual steps that were required to connect and configure Block DX with your wallets, but now a configuration wizard automates the entire process. Setup has been reduced to just a few clicks and allows you to begin trading in a matter of minutes.

Place Order by Price

Users can now easily create orders on Block DX by using a token’s price, rather than having to specify the amount of tokens they are offering and the tokens they are bidding on. This delivers the familiar experience of placing an order on an exchange, where a user may buy or sell a given number of tokens at a price they specify.
