This speaks to several failed initiatives at my undergraduate school, some of which definitely actually benefitted students at a low cost, and some of which definitely were a waste of time and money. Either way, they were usually annoying and disruptive, rolling out in a new form year after year, with new administrators and initiatives to carry out the same old goals. And, as low-level residential employees, we were always dragged along for the ride- “the ride” being reduced benefits and increased responsibilities.
