I have three Redbubble Stores now. I think now I am ready to write a review about it.

I have grown to really love Redbubble. I don’t know exactly where I started but as much as I know…. I’ve been selling my designs for several years now. I really love the idea of earning money from my art in a new way. Before this artists need to do everything themselves. But now, time has changed. I don’t have to do all that printing and delivering stuff!

Saved me a lot of my precious time.. :)

So I can say that —

  1. I can sell my work on a variety of products
  2. No hassle of managing inventory which of course I am not a fan of!
  3. No customer service … I am really bad at talking.

If you are someone like me then Redbubble is a valuable platform for us. I will highly recommend understanding the platform’s workings which will help sellers to make more money without much effort!

Before I start telling you how to sell on Redbubble, I have to tell you first that all the e-commerce platforms out there (Society6, Zazzle, TeePublic, Displate, and so on) demand —

  • time
  • effort
  • focus

That’s why I’ll start with how exactly Redbubble operates. Enjoy!

Understand How Redbubble Works

Want to achieve success in selling your designs?

Then first lean how the Redbubble platform operates!

Take your time to analyze your competition (do this first!), select REALLY GOOD keywords, and optimize your listings as much as possible. Only then you will be able to maximize your sales potential.

I TRULY believe that Redbubble is definitely worth it. In case if you are an artist and a designer, then Redbubble should be your first go-to platform.

But I have to admit here that it’s important to note that it (as of another platform) requires effort. So those who are expecting instant success just by uploading some random designs will …..likely be disappointed. Because I have tried it myself and it doesn’t work. For those who are ready to put in the work, then, believe me, Redbubble can be very rewarding afterward.

You must be thinking that Redbubble is not Saturated. You are wrong then! Redbubble is no exception to the saturation of e-commerce platforms. The first time I went on Redbubble I was amazed to see the vast array of designs to choose from. It’s open to anyone for selling, doesn’t matter which country you belong to. Often times I have seen limitations. But Redbubble doesn’t have any of those.. thankfully!

I think it’s really fantastic, but there is also a drawback to this.

Every single keyword out there has hundreds of designs already!

One of the BIGGEST mistakes I often see artists make is when they upload their design, most of them go for only a few general keywords. For instance, they might upload a polka dot design and simply label it as ‘Polka Dot.’ I have seen that this can limit its visibility and also its reach.

Wrong move!

So before you do this type of work I will advise you to take the time to learn the platform well enough and understand that not only me but you as well — need to devote time and energy to the Redbubble store. Only then it has the best chance of setting it up for success. Sellers, on your side, also need to do your work i.e. marketing. This is a huge requirement if you need to get your art seen by customers within the huge sea of competition.

A small tip — If you put in the effort and prepare yourself for success, Redbubble can definitely be worth it. YouTube offers a wealth of knowledge from experienced Redbubble sellers, making it a fantastic resource for learning useful tips and tricks.

This platform offers really wonderful features for artists who don’t want to handle everything themselves.

Like delivering, managing inventories, and so on.

But still it’s important to note that Redbubble will demand dedication and effort if you need to have success on this platform.

Alright, now let’s dive into some of the reasons why I believe Redbubble is worth it for artists and sellers.

Now let’s move on to the next section. Let’s see some of the reasons why I think that Redbubble is still worth it. This will answer most of your queries as well.

Redbubble Has a Lot of Products to Choose From

Before this, let me tell you that Redbubble has a really large range of products. So this means that sellers have a good amount of options to choose from.

  1. Leggings
  2. Caps Hats
  3. Tshirts (best seller)
  4. Stickers (sells like hotcakes!)
  5. Greeting cards
  6. Banners
  7. and so on.

I started my Redbubble journey several years back. At that time, I was amazed by the wide range of products they had. But now, their product selection is much larger in comparison to what they had back then.

I think the numbers are going to increase in 2024!

So you want to turn that beautiful art of yours into stickers? Worry not! Redbubble can do that for you!

I am often times worried about how my art will appear on the pillow. I get it easily done with Redbubble!

If I want some fantastic Redbubble merchandise featuring my own art then Redbubble does that for me as well!

What’s there Redbubble cannot do?

There is only one downside I have found in this.

I needed to adjust my designs for each of these products. This can be frustrating sometimes. Time-consuming.

Now that I have told you all the the fantastic range of products that Redbubble provides us, now time for the next stage.

Let’s see the process by which all these catalogs are delivered to our customers after they place an order.

Redbubble Handles the Customer End of Things

I don’t think I have to say more on this!

Redbubble handles —

  1. Product printing
  2. Inventories
  3. Customers
  4. Production
  5. Manufacturing
  6. deliveries and so on!

While I sit in my office, doing my affiliate marketing business and handling my stores whenever I get time!

How Redbubble Pricing Works

If I want to sell my art, but I don’t want to deal with ordering products, talking to customers, or managing how things are made, Redbubble might be a good choice for me. When someone buys my art there, Redbubble takes care of everything for the customer.

The Redbubble Fees

In 2023, Redbubble came up with a new system with different levels. This brought some good things, but the big change was the high fees. If you’re thinking about selling on Redbubble, it’s important to check out these fees to see if they’re too much for you.

For me, I got annoyed when I found out about these fees. They seemed really high without a good explanation.

Choose Your Own Level of Involvement with Redbubble

With Redbubble, I can decide how much time and effort I want to put in. I can make it a casual side job if I want, or I can go all in and make it a full-time gig.

Unlike Etsy, where I have to be somewhat active even when I don’t want to, Redbubble lets me have more control. Unless I put my shop on hold, I might get orders at any time, which means I have to manage them. So, with Redbubble, I can decide when to focus on it and when to take a break.

The best part is, if I want to go full-time I can without much thinking.

If after some years, I want to do it only as a side hustle, then simply I can do that too!

It all depends on me.
