The analysis by IOPipe (I assume you meant this one) is on how long Lambda keeps an “active” function — that is, a function that hasn’t been idle for so long it gets terminated, which was what my experiment was designed to find — before recycling the host VM . I touched on this in my previous post, and the 4 hours mark reported by their analysis has also changed. From another experiment (which I haven’t posted yet) I find the new timeout is 7 hours. I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on these numbers though as they’re subject to change, maybe they already have since the outage.
