When things fall into place.
Hope.
It is something we all crave as human beings from the day that we are conscious of our thoughts. It doesn’t begin as something we externalise, it is just something which happens.
Fear.
Sometimes, before things we hope for come to fruition, we have fears. Will I meet my deadline? Will I be good enough for X, Y or Z? Is what I am doing enough? Am I doing too much?
You know the drill. In order to learn from the experiences which knock us back, we have to face our fears head on and embrace them. We have to look them square in the eye and make sure that the fear knows it cannot possibly win.
Change can bring an impending sense of doom around someone’s world. Especially when you’ve gotten used to every day rituals and routines. You sleep a certain side of the bed you have slept on for weeks/months/years. You always have the same breakfast. You use the same shower, the same sink, the same oven. Then, all of a sudden, everything changes. The people. The surroundings. You. In this situation you really do have two choices; embrace the changes or run scared. There is only one outcome which is likely to make you happy, and it is not running.
Around every corner, there is a possibility. Behind every heartbreak there is a chance for growth and love. After each job rejection, there is hope for the next.
The question is: will you focus on the fears, or will you focus on the hope and opportunities which are waiting for you?
