How these first-gen entrepreneurs are influencing global design?

YUJ Designs
  • UX Design is now one of the top five most in-demand skills worldwide. Design Thinking has been incorporated into the Government of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) and will be taught in the CBSE curriculum to encourage a culture of ideation and creativity.
  • 👨‍🦯Turning point: Since the early 2000s, IT services have been at India’s forefront. Until 2010, very few individuals in India were discussing UX design/usability. The entire emphasis was on technical services, and design remained a Western prerogative. According to Samir,

“Everybody knew, if you want to code, you must go to India. But hardly anyone came looking for designs from India. We knew we had to bring cutting-edge design practices to India and prove that great design can come from India too.”

  • In 2009, Samir and Prasadd founded YUJ Designs, a specialty studio focused on generating user and commercial value, with the firm belief that design can change the world. Despite successful jobs, the team took the entrepreneurial leap to lessen the negative effects of technology and humanize experiences.
  • YUJ has worked in a variety of areas and geographies under its leadership. YUJ Designs, with over 220 UX design consultants, has successfully curated B2B, B2C, and B2B2C experiences for over 200 global customers. A linked experiences app for a major automaker has won the coveted Reddot Award, also known as the Oscars of design.

  • Inflation is obscuring Biden’s labor-friendly achievements. The cause is straightforward: inflation. And, following months of price increases, the Federal Reserve has decided to interfere. The alleged economics are simple enough to grasp. The Fed thinks that by rising interest rates, individuals will spend less money and the cost of goods will fall. However, this model includes what economists term a sacrifice ratio: in order for inflation to return to an acceptable level, more people must be unemployed.
  • What a “Winning Culture” Actually Is? After the Golden State Warriors upset the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals last June, the Warriors’ players put on ski goggles to protect their eyes from the spray of champagne, popped the corks, and began chanting, “Fuck Draymond.” They were joyously mimicking a taunt made at Draymond Green by the Boston crowd during Game Three. Afterward, his colleague Kevon Looney said, “Fun moment.” “Draymond has been yelling at us all year, too.”

  • A teacher is expected to act as protector, says the POCSO court. A teacher is expected to act as a protector, a special court here observed while convicting a maulana of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl who used to go to his house to study the Quran in Arabic. Special judge Seema Jadhav, designated to hear cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, on October 20, convicted the accused and sentenced him to 20 years in jail.
  • Nitin Gadkari has now begun to praise Narendra Modi. It is not uncommon for ministers to give credit for all their achievements to the tallest leader of their party. This is especially true of the ruling regime. Members of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Central government are expected to make it clear on each occasion that they are working under the ‘margdarshan’ of the prime minister, Narendra Modi. However, it appears that Gadkari has begun to toe the line. All of the minister’s recent tweets about the transportation sector include terms like “under the visionary leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji” or “Modi Ji’s vision of #AatmnirbharBharat.”
  • The Italian economy expanded by 0.5% more than projected in the third quarter, relieving pressure on the new government. Not only analysts were taken by surprise by the firm reading. The Treasury said last month that is expected to see a GDP contraction in the third quarter. Italian GDP has exceeded expectations in each of the first three quarters of this year.
  • How three female venture capitalists are differentiating their startup bets? Three seasoned women professionals with distinct work experience and educational backgrounds — from IIT and ISB — banded together to establish a venture capital (VC) fund to differentiate their startup investments.
  • Tech for Good: Building an Ecosphere for Innovators. DRDO is doing its bit to contribute towards the Trillion Dollar Economy that India has been vying for. A panel discussion ensued, delving into the speed with which technology is advancing and its impending influence on the economy. Vedanarayanan Vedantham, India Marketing Leader, Microsoft India took a deep dive into the extensive impact of cloud computing.

👤 IT’s Interesting: Can you get a sunburn on a cloudy day?

You are more likely to get a sunburn between 10 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon when the sun’s rays are the strongest. You might think the chance of getting a sunburn on cloudy days is less, but the sun’s damaging UV light can pass through clouds.
