Lewis Hamilton has had a pretty tough season so far. In all honesty it will probably be one of his more testing seasons. The last few years have been title fights as well but with his teammate. Since the hybrid era no one has really been able to come close to Mercedes. This year, Ferrari has closed the performance gap and is a massive threat to Lewis and Mercedes. Before the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend, Sebastian Vettel held a 1 point lead in the drivers championship. This has added some extra pressure for everyone involved. Typically if you are just battling your teammate you know exactly what is going on, you have more or less the exact same car. While battling another team for the win, everything changes.

Strategies are completely different, and every bit of performance is just a little more important. That being said, the one person you would expect to handle this well is Lewis Hamilton. People sometimes forget just how good he is and how long he has been in Formula 1. Debuting in 2007 he instantly had an impact. In just his first year he was already fighting for a world title. That is a pretty cool thing to have on your resume in my opinion.

With the summer break just beginning, Lewis will have a long time to rest and prepare for the second half of the season. Things have been heating up and this break is probably not something fans want right now. With tensions rising in other team garages like Torro Rosso and Red Bull, anything can happen. Its pretty funny that the two teams with clashing drivers are the teams that work together.

This is probably a good thing for Lewis Hamilton, all his attention will be on Sebastian Vettel. However, Sebastian Vettel is also someone you should be afraid of. He has won four world titles and that is something not many people can say. Lewis will have his hands full but this will hopefully provide us with some great action.
