How to stop your “crazy ex” from ruining your credibility

When we teach boys that they shouldn’t have feelings, they learn to file their feelings as rational thoughts.

And then when a woman has a rational thought that is in disagreement, then it must be a feeling. She must be a crazy bitch to have feelings that are so different from rational thoughts.

Then we make up rules so we can dismiss a woman’s thoughts in a variety of common situations:

• If she happens to be menstruating
• If she happens to be wearing revealing clothes
• If she happens to have a personal stake in something
• If she happens to be a woman

But it turns out it’s not the bitches, it’s our messed up views on gender that are fucking crazy.

So next time you want to call a woman “crazy” because she disagrees, or does something that you don’t understand, or didn’t predict, or doesn’t fill you in on her motives fully because maybe she fears violent reprisal…
