Perfectionism is the biggest enemy of growth.
If I’m creating a product I want it to be perfect. That’s nothing bad. But how can I make it perfect if nobody is using it? How can I learn if I’m not confronting it with reality?
We learn by — as you called it — “in progress” status. We’re doing new things and verify them. This is the moment when we can learn something new.
If we want to be perfect our growth will be slowed down or even completely stopped.
Besides that most of the best things in our lives comes from things that we do, not from the one we want to do.
“Do” means we’re creating something new and we are shipping it. “Want to do” means that we’re never moving from the “in progress” to “completed”.
Do you agree?
