Dankaur’s Dalit family harassment: Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, public elected you to make Uttar Pradesh, `Uttam Pradesh
Alleged harassment of a Dalit family at the hands of cops at Dankaur village in UP reflects the wide social gap prevailing between the people in the name of higher and lower caste even after more than 60 years of independence. For this divide, which still exists in our society, the entire responsibility lies on the both Central and the concerned state government of Uttar Pradesh.
It is just a mockery of our democracy and an extreme violation of basic human rights by our protectors. It is really quite impossible to live in a society where the law protectors becomes law breaker.
The only reason which forced the Dalit family to take such a step where they allegedly stripped themselves (according to the police) is 6 years of police inaction in a case of land encroachment. The family has alleged that an influential person in the area has encroached upon their land and the Police did nothing since last many years.
So far the state government has not taken any action against the irresponsible police officials, which is a matter of concern.
The police seeing the matter going out of its hand, claimed that the family members themselves got naked.
But while making such claims the Police forgot that in our Indian society a female would never take such a step of stripping in public. The state police’s allegation against the innocent Dalit family is biased and false to hide their own severe mistakes.
It is therefore not wrong to say that getting involved in such anti-social, unlawful act by the protectors of law in Uttar Pradesh is not just mere a mistake, but a sin also for which the almighty god will never forgive them.
Last but not least, I would like to remind the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav that people had elected him with a dream of making their state “Uttam Pradesh”, not a state like what it is presently.
