Regular Dentist Visit and Mouth Hygiene:
Both, regular dentist visit and oral hygiene are essential for a healthy mouth. But other things are also there which you can do, are adopting home remedies for bad breath which makes a big difference over a long time in your oral health.
Hydrate: The simplest way is drinking enough water. When mouth does not have enough moisture for producing saliva, odor-causing bacteria can develop. Staying hydrated is very important, particularly after and before any physical exercise, as rapid breath can increase in dry mouth.
Brush and Floss: To take ward off, daily brushing and flossing are the two most important tasks. If you avoid to brush and floss daily, food particles can stay behind in your mouth, causing bad breath. So, it’s recommended to brush at least twice a day. Flossing is also an essential part of oral care and as per recommendations by dentists; at least once flossing should be done.
Clean Your Tongue: Cleaning your tongue can efficiently reduce halitosis-causing compounds. These compounds form on the tongue and in the mouth when bacteria and amino acids combine, leaving an unpleasant smell like sulfur. So, cleaning your tongue regularly is important in skirmishing halitosis.
Eat Healthily: Certain foods like raw onion or garlic cause bad breath. Acidic foods such as vinegar and sugary cereals should be avoided, as both can increase the production of bacteria as well as bad breath.
Use a Mouth Rinse: Use a mouth rinse after every meal to reduce plaque and gingivitis. As it alone is not an effective remedy, it can be best remedy if used with brush and flosses.
