7 canciones para practicar el Presente Simple en inglés
Dado el éxito de nuestras anteriores entradas dedicadas a aprender inglés con canciones, una vez más, con micro en mano, queremos haceros disfrutar del inglés y mejorar la gramática al mismo tiempo.
¿Que cómo puedes conseguirlo? Echando un vistazo a esta selección de canciones para practicar el Presente Simple en inglés.
A través de ellas verás sus posibles conjugaciones tanto en oraciones afirmativas, como en negativas o interrogativas. Pero más de ayudarte a automatizar estructuras, serán un gran aliado para mejorar la pronunciación en inglés.
¡Dale al play, analiza los ejemplos resaltados, suéltate la melena y prepárate para dar un poco el cante! Escucharlas te ayudará, pero cantarlas e incluso aprendértelas de memoria terminará de dar el empujón a tu inglés.
1.- Omi — Cheerleader
Con esta canción tan movidita podrás poner en práctica el uso del presente simple en primera y tercera persona del singular en frases afirmativas, pero también revisarás cómo formar preguntas con en el auxiliar ‘do‘ y frases negativas con ‘don’t‘. Asimismo, incluye algunos frases con el verbo to be en presente simple.

Otra canción con bastante ritmo y muy útil para trabajar frases afirmativas e interrogativas en presente simple.
Una vez más, su letra incluye el uso del Presente Simple aplicado a hábitos o rutinas, tanto en primera persona, como tercera persona del singular. Ideal combinación para que veas claramente la diferencia de añadir la ‘-s‘ o, a veces, ‘-es‘ a los verbos cuando hacemos referencia a una tercera persona o cosa (he, she, it). Pero además, también contiene ejemplos de preguntas con el auxiliar ‘does‘.

3.- Sia — Chandelier
Con este temazo de Sia, uno de mis favoritos, podrás practicar muchos de los aspectos importantes del Presente Simple en inglés: frases afirmativas y negativas, tanto en primera o segunda persona, como tercera persona (añadiendo ‘-s‘ o ‘-es‘), así como el verbo to be.
Veamos algunos ejemplos:

4.- The Beatles — She Loves You
Este clásico de los 60, de la mítica banda de pop/rock inglesa The Beatles, es una estupenda canción para los estudiantes de nivel inicial gracias a su ritmo y vocalización de los cantantes. Además, no incluye frases negativas ni interrogativas, por lo que te facilita aún más la tarea.
También puede ser un buen recurso para estudiantes de nivel un poco superior, al poder trabajar con ella otros aspectos del inglés además del presente simple, como pueden ser el pasado simple y algunos modales básicos como can o should.

Esta pegadiza canción es un recurso muy completo para trabajar diferentes aspectos sobre el Presente Simple en inglés. Con ella podrás practicar con frases afirmativas en primera y tercera persona del singular, frases negativas en primera y segunda persona del singular y primera del plural, y preguntas en segunda persona del singular.
Analicemos algunos extractos de la canción:

Lo ideal de esta canción es que su estribillo es muy propenso a quedarse grabado en tu mente (get stuck in you head) y cantarlo sin cesar, por lo que la práctica de hacer preguntas en inglés en presente simple la tendrás más que asegurada.
Con ella podrás trabajar los siguientes aspectos gramaticales: oraciones afirmativas en primera y tercera persona del singular, presente simple del verbo to be en oraciones afirmativas e interrogativas, oraciones negativas con el auxiliar ‘don’t‘, oraciones interrogativas con ‘do’.

7.- Portugal. The Man — Do You
Otra de mis favoritas. Esta canción la recomiendo especialmente para niveles iniciales, pues tiene una letra muy sencilla y repetitiva, con la que podrás practicar principalmente cómo hacer preguntas en inglés con el auxiliar ‘do’.
También puede ser muy útil para comparar el uso del presente simple en inglés, frente al pasado simple y ver muy claramente el cambio de ‘do’ por ‘did’ al formar preguntas.
Otro aspecto que me gustaría resaltar es la conjugación del verbo en tercera persona del singular del presente simple (recuerda, con ‘s’) con el sujeto ‘everybody’ que, aparentemente, parece ser plural. La razón es que a estos pronombres indefinidos (sí, también entran en el grupo otras variaciones como everyone, everywhere, everything) se les considera gramaticalmente singular, a pesar de trasmitir una noción plural.
