November 10, 2023 — Aspiring accountants actively take an active part in the General Assembly prepared by their mother organization, JPIA-Abidhaman Federation, with a theme of “Aparecium: Entering the Chambers of Mystery and Magic” at the Valencia Hall.

As a way to officially start the program, a very inspiring word from the Dean of the College of Business Administration, Dr. Gualberto A. Magdaraog Jr. was conveyed that made students remember what they should possess when they become Certified Public Accountants someday. “The program that you chose, itong BS Accountancy and BS Accounting Information System is truly magical and full of mystery, ” said Dr. Magdaraog Jr.

Moreover, a talk was also commenced, which was led by Ms. Jianne Jaycee Borlongan, the student adviser of the said organization. Encouraging words were also shared by the former president of JPIA-BulSU in the years 2016–2017, Ms. Jamielyn M. Castillo: “Kahit anong mangyari, huwag na huwag (niyong) i-compromise ang integrity.” Both Ms. Borlongan and Ms. Castillo forwarded a message about how the college and organization helped them during their college years, which led them to where and who they are today. For them, getting the CPA title is not only the goal of life but also the character of a real accountant.

The JPIANS also had a chance to get to know the event’s gold partner, Reyes Tacandong & Company, represented by Mr. Jose Carlo Miguel Dy, who shared heartening words. “See you on the other side. Believe it is all worth it,” he said. For him, an accountant’s learning process does not only end in college but carries on in the field, in which RT&Co. plays an important role. However, before being in the field, a matter of survival is needed, which led him to advise everyone not to give up as it is all worth it in the end.

Furthermore, as a part of getting to know the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA) specifically the Aquiluxis Federation, and the NFJPIA-Region 3 (R3) — Szerelia Federation made an appearance to introduce one of the biggest student organizations in the country to the JPIANS.

The JPIA-Abidhaman Federation had truly given JPIANS the opportunity to enter the chambers of mystery and magic of their dream profession. May all JPIANS unravel their respective enchantments beyond a greater quest.
